Ron Clark

Ron Clark, RN, MS, APSO, is a military veteran and a retired sergeant from the Connecticut State Police (CSP) with 23 years of law enforcement service. He was the first certified CSP Peer Support Officer and Instructor, Commanding Officer of the EAP/Medical unit, and a member of the tactical team as an Advanced Life Support Medic. He was also the Senior Flight Nurse for the Medivac unit and coordinated the Surgeons and Chaplain’s program for the State Police.

Ron helped establish the first Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team in Connecticut and served as its President. He holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Education, is a retired therapist, and has been a licensed Registered Nurse since 1969. He served 12 years as Chairperson of the Middlebury Police Commission.

Ron also served as Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Connecticut Alliance to Benefit Law Enforcement (CABLE), a nonprofit research and education collaborative dedicated to the health and well-being of law enforcement officers and the communities they serve. He is a member of the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association Wellness Committee.

Additional service includes: Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department (10 years), EMT (35 years), EMS Instructor (25 years). Ron is past Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Badge of Life, a national organization addressing law enforcement suicide and officer mental and emotional wellness. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Western CT Coalition – Region 5, was the former Chairperson of CAC 20, served on the Region 5 Mental Health Board of Directors as Secretary, and presently serves on the Regional Behavioral Health Board (Western CT Coalition) as a Board Member.
