Ron Clark, RN, MS, APSO is a military veteran and a retired sergeant from the Connecticut State Police (CSP) with 23 years of law enforcement service. He was the first certified CSP Peer Support Officer and Instructor, Commanding Officer of the EAP/Medical unit and was a member of the tactical team as an Advanced Life Support Medic. He was also the Senior Flight Nurse for the Medivac unit and coordinated the Surgeons and Chaplain’s program for the State Police. He helped establish the first Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team in Connecticut and served as its President. Ron holds a Master of Science degree in Counseling Education and is a retired therapist, also he has been a licensed Registered Nurse since 1969. He served 12 years as the Chairperson of the Middlebury Police Commission. Clark also served on the Board of Directors as Chairperson for the Connecticut Alliance to Benefit Law Enforcement (CABLE),a non-profit research and education collaborative dedicated to the health and well-being of law enforcement officers and the communities they serve. Also, Ron is a member of the Connecticut Police Chiefs Association Wellness Committee.Ron was also involved in the following: Middlebury Volunteer Fire Department 10 yrs, EMT 35 yrs, EMSI 25yrs. Ron is past Chairperson of the Board of Directors of Badge of Life, a national organization that deals with Law Enforcement suicides and officers mental health and emotional wellness. Presently Ron serves on the Board of Directors of the Western CT Coalition-Region 5. Also, Ron was also the former Chairperson of CAC 20 and served on the Region 5 Mental Health Board of Directors as Secretary. Presently Serve on the Regional Behavioral Health Board(Western CT Coalition) as a Board member.
